Florist Up My Street: Putting Power Back in the Hands of Florists

This project holds a special place in our hearts. Why? Because Florist Up My Street was the brainchild of Graaftr's very own founder, Thomas Le Mesurier. Back in 2016, the online flower delivery scene was dominated by giants like Interflora, whose business model was, let's face it, a bit of a creativity killer. And who wants that when you're in the business of beautiful blooms?

So, we set out to change the game. Florist Up My Street was born to empower local florists, giving them the freedom to showcase their unique designs, set their own prices, and connect directly with customers in their delivery area. It was like taking the charm of a local flower shop and putting it online.

Customers loved it too! They could search our nationwide marketplace for local floral treasures - everything from stunning bouquets and plant deliveries to workshops and flower subscriptions.

We're proud to say that Florist Up My Street shook up the online flower market, championing creativity and putting the power back where it belongs - with the florists. And guess what? This "florist-first" approach is now a common practice.
